How a Common Developer Headache Turned Into Our Calling
Like many WordPress professionals, our journey began in the trenches of client work. Back in 2016, managing large-scale store migrations was one of the most stressful tasks in web development.
Whenever a store catalog reached tens of thousands of products, existing tools consistently hit 30-second PHP timeouts, corrupted serialized post meta, and left databases half-migrated. We spent countless late nights babysitting imports and fixing broken arrays.
We knew there had to be a better way. In 2016, our founder Jignesh Vaja set out to build a tool specifically engineered for WooCommerce stores that would process data in background micro-batches without ever freezing the browser or timing out. That tool became Woo Import Export.
The response from fellow developers and store owners was overwhelming. Soon, users began asking for the same rock-solid background architecture across all WordPress content. In response, we expanded our work to create WP Import Export for general WordPress data, and published WP Import Export Lite on WordPress.org so anyone could benefit from reliable, free background imports.
“We believe software should simply work—quietly, reliably, and without unexpected surprises. We build the tools we wished existed when we were managing high-stress client deadlines.”
